Last year I was at a time in my life where I just wanted more. I was also seeing an amazing girl who I loved. I was honest with her that I wasn’t looking for a serious relationship, and that was hard on both of us. Fast forward a few months and I “got more.” I had had enough women where I felt full of casual relationships and suddenly was ready for a serious relationship. Meanwhile the girl I loved had moved far away back to her home country. I reached out to her about the possibility of a relationship. After thinking about it, she declined, saying she didn’t want to be with me anymore even though she really wanted to in the past. She was moving on. It absolutely devastated me. I’m still getting over it, and although I knew I loved her I never could’ve imagined how much losing her would hurt. I guess what I’m saying is-remember what this is all about guys. Most of you might want more women, more sex, etc , and that’s fine, but I would say if you think you want a wife and family in the future, don’t let the concept of “more” get in the way of that like I did. Of course, I will be okay and I still feel loved by this particular girl and several other girls I’ve dated who I care about immensely. But now my *goal* has shifted to finding a girl to have a serious, intimate relationship with. Of course, if I have casual sex/casual relationships along the way, that’s fine, and I’ve had some already, but I am absolutely looking for “the one” now. My dating standards have risen as a consequence and I value my time and who gets it so much more now. Good luck everyone.
